Billionaire business man, Alhaji Arisekola Alao has beefed up his personal security with a bullet proof Mercedes Benz valued at $600,000.
According to sources, it would take a Bazooka to dent it. Sources say this is a preferred car for presidents all-over the world. Alhaji Arisekola Alao who is known to have a penchant for his personal security and safety was sighted at a wedding in Lagos weeks ago sandwiched between a convoy of six “state of the art” automobiles with personalized registration number “Aare”. He caused a stir when he walked into the venue surrounded by ten private security Guards. Many were shocked that no armed policeman was following him.
Inside sources revealed to National Weekender, that Alhaji Arisekola Alao who is reported to be the highest single individual share holder in First bank Plc, does not have faith in policemen guarding him.
Alhaji Arisekola Alao, who is known to be legendary in his philanthropy, has spent hundreds of millions of naira sponsoring religious and philanthropic activities in Nigeria. He is also known to be steadfastly loyal to his friends.
After the death of Gen Sani Abacha while many of Abacha’s erstwhile friends, benefactors and associate distanced themselves from him, Chief Arisekola Alao was the only prominent Nigerian who stood behind the late general’s family.
Insiders revealed that he bought Gen Abacha, his first Mercedes Benz car while he was serving in Ibadan in the early seventies as the General Officer commanding the 2nd mechanized divisions of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
