Modu Sheriff Pours Sand In Ize Iyamu’s Garri

 


In Nigerian politics nothing is certain; just when the celebration started that Pastor Ize Iyamu had won the Guber ticket for PDP in Edo State. The embattled National Party chairman in an executive that has cancelled the primaries and set up a committee to look.


Factional PDP National chairman Modu Sheriff who is still battling to be accepted by all in the party has thrown the proverbial sand as they say in Benin City, into the Garri of Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu by cancelling the guber  primaries where he was chosen as the parties flag bearer last Monday in the October Edo State governorship elections.






Modu Sheriff has therefore set up a new committee to plan a new primary in Edo State, a new congress will now hold in the state from June 23-29 during which the guber primaries will be organized. Sources in Benin revealed that party members are angry at the action of the chairman who has spoilt the celebration planned by Osagie’s supporters. One livid member party said:


“This is rubbish, what does he mean? It’s a power show, Osagie will win the primaries any day, this is just dividing the party.”
